New Use For Your Grapefruit Knife

TIP  Laziness begot creativity one day when I was making an apple pie.  I began using my apple corer to remove the core and discovered that I was failing most of the time.  So I peeled an apple and cut it into four wedges.  When I began using a sharp, thin knife to remove the core and pits, I almost sliced the tip of my finger off.

THERE HAD TO BE AN EASIER AND SAFER WAY!

When I looked into my utensils drawer, I beheld an old hardly ever used grapefruit knife and…

PANACHE FLASH!   028

The serrated, curved blade of the knife cuts through the flesh of a pear (pictured above) and through quartered apples — YAY!

No more injuries and no more shoving the apple core thing blindly into my Granny Smith!

Treasure Hunt

I have found a use for the cores I cut  from fruit… see if you can find it in my site.  Hint — it may bring some Panache to your Margaritas and Cosmos.
