Recipes

ORIGIN:

The recipes originate from questions friends have asked to me or Clarion over the years.. “What did you have for dinner last night?”usually directed to Clarion.   And  to me,  “Have you cooked anything different?” — The latter is almost a silly question because Clarion can tell you my failure as a cook is that i can rarely repeat a meal because I am improvising as I cook.  Truth to tell, I have tried to remember some basic recipes,  like basic tomato sauce, Southern fried chicken and many which I will gladly share with you.  I will never tell you that this recipe is “Iconic” — I hate that word — you can play with it.

The recipies I share here:

  • assume a basic knowldge of cooking and a willingness to bear with measurements that are not as precise as one might find in a cookbook.
  •  have produced edible food.
  • are invitations to apply your Panache
  • sometimes provide pictures of the dish or techniques/tips that make it easier for you
  • are all standard not special meals.   For all of my cooking life, I have tried to prepare interesting meals every night.

Starters …Mains… Sides… Desserts…Sauces, Jams etc.

In each of these categories you will find specific types of dishes. For example in Mains you will find meat, fish, poultry ,vegetable and pasta recipes.
